outdated NZ trip...

This is so outdated I know.. Sorry that I'm so lazy.. =P

I went Auckland, New Zealand last month when they were welcoming the summer season.. Though its almost end of Spring, it is still very windy and not as SUMMER as south east asia. One thing I really like about the weather in New Zealand at that time was that, its so chill yet not too cold to freeze you and you will have no sweat walking from the east to the west. I really had a great time walking around the hotel area and also the town area..

The hotel that me and my colleagues were assigned to stay was The Langham Hotel. Its a slightly above average hotel which has the basic neccessity in the room.. Very cosy and of course, the best part is to have the whole room all by yourself.. hahahaha

I called this hotel the Pink hotel coz the stationaries they gave were all pink.. Just look at the pic below.. Where can you find pink stuff in 99.99% of the hotels in the world?
The calendar is pink, the box that they put the stationaries for us to use is pink, and even the envelopes and letter paper were all pink!!! Thank god the pencil is black like normal.. One of my colleague got so excited.. she kept everything and nearly wanted to buy the box as souvenior but it was too expensive.. NZ$20.. ridiculous..
Remember I was so excited about those little liquor bottles in the hotel when I first blogged bout my trip? Apparently, almost every hotel I stayed have such bottles.. So, its not so a cool thing for me anymore.. *yawn* This is the last time you going to see all these tiny cute little adorable bottles in my box.. As usual, OVERPRICED...
After checking in to our room and removing the 'colours' from our face, some of us decided to hit the town to store up some grovery items for our almost 3 days stay..
I bought some ready made salad box, milk, bread and then I saw this...
CHEESE...........
CHEESE....
and more CHEESE... moo moo... really crazy lo.. I've never seen so many different types of cheeses in my life!!! really insane.. no wonder the people in NZ.. are not so petite in size......
Some random pic I took while walking back to the bus stop...
At night, one of our 'bosses' planned a small little dinner trip to a chinese restaurant 'nearby' our hotel.. that's what he claimed.. But we walked for almost half and hour.. but thank god.. the weather is so nice and chill..
This is the restaurant's menu.. it looks like some 80's club in hong kong where u can see all those show girls singing on stage.. sorry I didn't get to take mroe pictures coz all the other seniors say i'm very 'kampung'...
The next day, me and my collegue decided to walk in the town and explore the place.. as both of us are too broke to go sightseeing... (I really want to see the whales and BAA BAA while sheeps..) First, my allowance is not out yet, and he's broke because he brought too much honey to bring back...
Despite most of the old buildings around, you still can spot some interesting modern buildings in the street...
Then you will see few churches along 1 street just like you can see few mosques along 1 street in Malaysia.. The churches here are so antique and nice...

They will never forget to plant tress along the street to give the natural fresh air to the people.. thats what I like about NZ.. minumum cars and super duper fresh air...
Then I saw these Chickens.. Arent they adorable? So kawaii right..
Look at these.. Tempted me to buy them back for my sisters.. But when I was walking towards the door, my fren grabbed me.. 'You got look at the price or not?'
Then I looked lo.. expecting it to be less than NZ$10 for a fake chicken.. AND to my horror....
Wah lau.. even the smallest is NZ$30!!!! I rather go KFC and eat chicken.. I nearly vormit blood on the spot...
So we walked...
We walked..

And we walked.. That tall skinny thing is the tallest building in Auckland..
Then I smelled something super good.. And like a good police dog.. I smelled all the way through and spotted this..
I just can't stand the temptations of good freshly baked cookies.. Its so good.. me and my fren bought 2 each and finished it in less than 15 mins.. hahahaha.. If you happen to go to Auckland, this is a must try!!!!!!!!!!! Fresh n nyam nyam..

Anyway, things that you must buy when you are in auckland.. KIWI fruit (which I did not..coz scared rot ma) and their Manuka Honey.. Apparently, you can only buy really manuka honey from New Zealand.. Buy those with UMF 20 which is very good for our body.. You can stir the honey with luke warm water and never use a metal spoon when comes to honey.. always use plactic k... for more info about Honey.. Go GOOGLE la.. U think I professor?
.
Oh.. forgot to tell you guys.. It was halloween on that day.. and the steet is filled with mostly draculas, dead men walking and other very ugly characters.. (Y dont they dress up as more cheerful characters?) It was really a good experience to see and I really wanted to take the pictures of the people.. But my friend told me not to as I might offend them.. But they dressed up for attention right?
.
So this is the only 1 I got.. Paiseh.. Happy very Belated Halloween.. hahahaha...
p/s: I will update bout my delhi trip and Abu Dhabi trip very very soon... stay tuned.. hahaha... Oh.. thank God that the drama in Mumbai finally ended!!! I curse all those really Koo-koo people for having so much time to plan and kill innocent beings.. Condolences to the family of those 160 being killed in this Mumbai drama... Very sad lo.. to see all these happening..

Christmas is coming..

I have 3 trips to update yet I do not have the 'time' to do it.. Well, we humans always like to use 'I dont have time' as the best excuse in the world to procastinate.. I'm one of them..

Christmas is coming.. As everybody is aware...
Especially when you are living in this tiny little island called Singapore where Christmas is like the 'IT' thing for the islanders to celebrate.. Malaysians are well-aware that if you do not have money to go to Europe to feel Christmas, then Singapore is the best and cheapest and nearest option you can go to.. However, this might not be a good thing for certain type of people.. Those moody, home-sick, lonely girls where all they wish for this christmas is to be with their family..

I have no complains about my job.. I think I kindda like my job.. ALOT.. I get to travel, I get to see loads of things where most people are not able to at my age.. The working time is pretty short and I get off days after every trip! But, there's always something you have to sacrifice in order to get certain 'Luxury'.. Just like some people I know, they sacrifice good food outstation in order to buy a 'LV' at the end of the month.. They sacrifice the luxury of taking taxi to work in order to save money to be spent outstation.. As for me, I sacrifice too much of the time with my family and friends to have this job.. I know this job pays me fairly well compared to most jobs I will get back in Malaysia but I miss home.. I miss going back to my REAL home sweet home after my work and just sit down and relax with my family in the living hall watching 'The Nanny'.. I miss mummy calling me and telling me what she's going to cook for dinner in order to tempt me not to go out with my friends at night.. I miss daddy's sarcastic humour everytime we chat while we watch tv.. I miss those small little chats every night before sleep with my 2 dearest sisters.. AND.. I miss all those random calls and sms-es where my friends will just ask me out for a mamak..

As we get closer to Christmas.. I miss home even more.. This will be the first time I'm so far away from HOME for the most important event in the SOO family of the year.. Christmas meant so much to me.. Its more than going to church to celebrate Jesus' birth, its more than singing Christmas Carols... Its the together-ness with your love ones.. I'm assigned to fly to Korea then to San francisco starting from Christmas Eve.. Many told me to look to the brighter side as I will experience a total different Christmas this year and I get to shop till I drop at the streets of San Francisco on Boxing day.. Guess theres always the bright side and a dark side of everything.. A senior once told me, once you decided to step into this line, be ready to be away from your family during BIG events.. its normal.. But the good news is.. My family will be down to celebrate a very early Birthday and Christmas with me next weekend after I come back from Amsterdam!! WEEE.....

Oh man.. I'm feeling so lonely.. I have an off day on my Birthday itself but what to do? I hope I get to meet Canna as she will be in singapore that time.. All I want for my birthday is NOT TO BE LONELY.. For the record, I'm not desperate for a boyfriend, I just want friends to be around.. I tend to get too EMO when I'm alone during my big day.. Getting older and all alone.. how sad........

p/s: I'll be going Amsterdam, Netherland next tuesday.. I checked the weather forecast, and it is like -1 degree celsius!!! I dont know whether I can stand the cold or not.. I'm not a cold person.. I'm a hot person!!!!

Welcome to the little island Gong Li!!! Hahaha.. if you ever pops by to my blog when you google your own name... I think you are cool.. and quite hot.. for your age!!! Hope you'll have a happy marriage..
.
Guys, just imagine Gong Li speaking english with all the Singapore slang.. all the LAs... and AHs...
I wonder whether I get to see her on planes..
.
p/s: Forgive me for not updating my journeys.. I'm just pure lazy.. oh, i have a declaration to make.. PAMELA IS OFFICIALLY ON A RETAIL-THERAPY DIET (meaning no more shopping la).. until her allowance comes in and she's able to give to her parents only she's allowed to pamper herself.. Apparently retail-therapy doesn't really help on her emotional illness...

the true happiness..

I was walking with my friend- Garbriel in the skypark (park at top floor of shopping complex) of VIVO city (my all time favourite mall in the whole small little island of Singapore) and noticed many children playing in the less than 15 cm deep water pool which has no slides or whatsoever.. Just a pool of water.. Thats it.. The children were happy.. Splashing water to each other no matter they know each other or not.. The joy on thier faces are simply priceless..
.
I was wondering.. When in the phase of us growing up, we stop treasuring all the small small little things that happened in our life? Be it a shallow pool of water, or just a 5 cent sweet from the candy store that our neighbour give us, we were happy when we were little children.. But now? As we mature and get ourselves involved in the materialistic concrete jungle of the world, we bacame less sensitive to the tiny things around us and we began to be more ambituous in life. The toy that comes free in a box with a RM1 chocolate that we bought from the stalls at the street and doraemon no longer bring a smile as big as it was now.. Now, a PS3 or a digital camera or a car or even a LV bag makes us more contented in life.. Do all these really matter? Even if we get them, we will set a higher goal and it will be never ending..
.
Think about it? Are you too ambituos that you have ignored the little things in your life? Sometimes life is not all about getting what the world thinks is best for us human race.. But is about what you care and love most.. Material things always go out of fashion but the things that money cannot buy are just priceless.. TRY TO BE MORE SENSITIVE about the things and people around you and soon, you will realise you can be as happy as those little kids I saw in the skypark..
.
Now, the thing that can make me on top of the world is the chance to go back home.. My home sweet home in the land of Bah Kut Teh.. :-)
.
p/s: Just came back from Auckland NZ yesterday night.. It was quite a good experience.. Will blog bout it soon when i got the time.. haha.. Adios!
