The land where u can do almost anything n everything..(1)

RELUCTANTLY.. I came back from Amsterdam, Netherland (used to be called Holland which is the name i prefer).. It was a short 2 days 2 nights stay where I trully enjoyed to the max and burnt my pocket fairly maximum too.. most of the things in Amsterdam are quite affordable but the food is the one that makes you vormit blood..

Just for your info, this is a post where there will be loads of pics.. its so many i took almost 1 hour just to upload the pics... i wonder how long I'm gonna take to finish this post..

Here goes..

We were checked in to the Marriot hotel at the town area after landing and I was feeling really tired after a 13 hours flight.. The room is cosy but its quite small..
The problem with most hotels in Europe is, they dont provide water boiler which I always rely on.. INstead of providing some practical stuff, they provide this:
Right on top of the table in front of the bed!!! Tempting me day and night!!!! But the price is not so friendly.. (if only its in RM)
This is the first time I encounter a real fire place with real fire burning in the lobby area of a hotel!!! hahahaha...I know I sound super Kampung.. Pardon me..
At noon, some of us decided to check out the area and hunt for food..
This is the legendary place where alot of crews lose their money when they 'visit' it.. Casino..
Hungry and not so familiar with that area, we decided to go into Hard rock restaurant which is the first restaurant we saw.. We were warmly greeted by the servers there and this grand motorbike..
TJ the humourous nicest waiter in the whole Amsterdam..
Group pic before the food arrives..
Gigantic BUrger...
Not so bad pasta..
Nachos with cheese...
My Favourite of all!!!! Macaroni with cheese and extra cheese toppings!!!!
Ceasar Salad for the health concious..
Then we went and walk around.. I looked like one polar bear right? But no choice la,, the jacket provides the warmth I desperately need...
The Battle of Ang Mohs..
Part of the city.. Tramps everywhere.. quite convenient but I did not have the opportunity to ride on it...
Me again with the streets of Amsterdam..
More convenient than 7-eleven.. everything Machine operated.. just slot in coins, press the button and you will get the food you need...
Always remeber to watch out for the tramps.. look at how close contact a tramp can be to the street walkers..
Bicycles parked everywhere in the city!!! So environmentally-friendly.. I like!
60% of Holland is under sea level.. Therefore, they have to build loads of Kennels to make sure the country is not flooded.. Beautifully built..
The tai-koh among us.. William with polar bear of the trip..
Because it was winter, the flowers are not so in a healthy condition.. all not opened yet.. dissapointed..
Dont ask me, I also not so sure what on earth are those..
Beautiful roses with quite an affordable price..
Outdoor ice-skating park..
One of the buildings at night.. abit gothic look..
Then as the night approaches, we went to this restaurant called Castell for their famous Pork Rib..
The girls..

Sorry guys, these are the only pics I have for the yummy food.. Too engrossed in it that I forgot to take the picture of the best item of the night.. the Pork Rib.. I miss it man..
The interesting part about Castell is that it is not like normal restaurants where we eat on tables but they serve the food on our thighs.. Its quite unique in a way but can be quite inconvenient.. ITs a nice place to hang out with your friends though.. cosy and warm..
Thats it for the first day.. more pics for the second day which I will update very soon.. (1 month time..lol)..
Why i call this post 'The land where u can do almost anything n everything' is because, Holland has a legalised Red light district and they have shops selling drugs! It was really an eye opener.. but i never tried la.. you can do almost anything and everything there.. except for Murder..
I MISS HOLLAND!!!
P/s: I wanna go holiday in Bangkok next year!!! Anyone interested?

The olden days...

You will never realise how fast time has passed until you clean your stuff.. I was going through my forever growing accessory collection and I saw this.. The bracelet I used to like so much that I wear it almost everytime I go out.. Its not white gold, no diamonds on it.. Just a simple puppy-shape charm bracelet with my name on it from someone I used to care and love so much..

This was given by him few years back and I really cherish it.. But things change when time change.. People change when perspective change.. I felt that somehow, if I were to be with him, things will not work out the way I want it to be.. If I were to be with him, our relationship will not have happy ending.. I told him to give up...

Few months later, I heard he's dating a girl.. I saw that girl.. She's beatiful, charming and they were holding hands.. Happily.. I was happy for him, but felt bitter deep inside.. Its ironic.. I let him go yet I felt bitter when he's with someone else.. How selfish one can be when comes to relationship... I dont own him, he deserves someone much better than me who knows how to cherish him..

After that day, I went back, I dump this charm bracelet aside.. A corner where I will not see it easily.. I was angry with it.. I was dissapointed with myself.. Dont know why..

Now, I'm in Singapore.. I dont think he even knows it.. We met once last year for lunch.. He's still quite the same in certain ways.. But different in so many other ways.. I was shocked.. Our topics were so different we can hardly click.. He wasn't happy with his life yet he has no courage to step out..

I miss him.. I miss his company when we were so much younger and naive.. I miss the times when we cycled around for hours just to be with each other.. We broke up because parents say we were too young.. then we try to get back together.. But as I said.. Years passed.. I have changed and my perspective towards life has changed as well.. I felt we werent suitable at all anymore.. I was selfish and I hurt his feeling..

But it doesn't matter anymore.. He's happy now.. and i'm happy for him.. I've yet to find the courage to message him on msn.. But I'm sure.. One day.. One day I will message him..

I am going to wear this bracelet TODAY!

p/s: I just came back from Amsterdam.. and boy, I had a great time over there!! Too bad time too short, money too little.. If you want to travel to Europe, Amsterdam is a must see k!!!! I love AMSTERDAM but not the weather..

outdated NZ trip...

This is so outdated I know.. Sorry that I'm so lazy.. =P

I went Auckland, New Zealand last month when they were welcoming the summer season.. Though its almost end of Spring, it is still very windy and not as SUMMER as south east asia. One thing I really like about the weather in New Zealand at that time was that, its so chill yet not too cold to freeze you and you will have no sweat walking from the east to the west. I really had a great time walking around the hotel area and also the town area..

The hotel that me and my colleagues were assigned to stay was The Langham Hotel. Its a slightly above average hotel which has the basic neccessity in the room.. Very cosy and of course, the best part is to have the whole room all by yourself.. hahahaha

I called this hotel the Pink hotel coz the stationaries they gave were all pink.. Just look at the pic below.. Where can you find pink stuff in 99.99% of the hotels in the world?
The calendar is pink, the box that they put the stationaries for us to use is pink, and even the envelopes and letter paper were all pink!!! Thank god the pencil is black like normal.. One of my colleague got so excited.. she kept everything and nearly wanted to buy the box as souvenior but it was too expensive.. NZ$20.. ridiculous..
Remember I was so excited about those little liquor bottles in the hotel when I first blogged bout my trip? Apparently, almost every hotel I stayed have such bottles.. So, its not so a cool thing for me anymore.. *yawn* This is the last time you going to see all these tiny cute little adorable bottles in my box.. As usual, OVERPRICED...
After checking in to our room and removing the 'colours' from our face, some of us decided to hit the town to store up some grovery items for our almost 3 days stay..
I bought some ready made salad box, milk, bread and then I saw this...
CHEESE...........
CHEESE....
and more CHEESE... moo moo... really crazy lo.. I've never seen so many different types of cheeses in my life!!! really insane.. no wonder the people in NZ.. are not so petite in size......
Some random pic I took while walking back to the bus stop...
At night, one of our 'bosses' planned a small little dinner trip to a chinese restaurant 'nearby' our hotel.. that's what he claimed.. But we walked for almost half and hour.. but thank god.. the weather is so nice and chill..
This is the restaurant's menu.. it looks like some 80's club in hong kong where u can see all those show girls singing on stage.. sorry I didn't get to take mroe pictures coz all the other seniors say i'm very 'kampung'...
The next day, me and my collegue decided to walk in the town and explore the place.. as both of us are too broke to go sightseeing... (I really want to see the whales and BAA BAA while sheeps..) First, my allowance is not out yet, and he's broke because he brought too much honey to bring back...
Despite most of the old buildings around, you still can spot some interesting modern buildings in the street...
Then you will see few churches along 1 street just like you can see few mosques along 1 street in Malaysia.. The churches here are so antique and nice...

They will never forget to plant tress along the street to give the natural fresh air to the people.. thats what I like about NZ.. minumum cars and super duper fresh air...
Then I saw these Chickens.. Arent they adorable? So kawaii right..
Look at these.. Tempted me to buy them back for my sisters.. But when I was walking towards the door, my fren grabbed me.. 'You got look at the price or not?'
Then I looked lo.. expecting it to be less than NZ$10 for a fake chicken.. AND to my horror....
Wah lau.. even the smallest is NZ$30!!!! I rather go KFC and eat chicken.. I nearly vormit blood on the spot...
So we walked...
We walked..

And we walked.. That tall skinny thing is the tallest building in Auckland..
Then I smelled something super good.. And like a good police dog.. I smelled all the way through and spotted this..
I just can't stand the temptations of good freshly baked cookies.. Its so good.. me and my fren bought 2 each and finished it in less than 15 mins.. hahahaha.. If you happen to go to Auckland, this is a must try!!!!!!!!!!! Fresh n nyam nyam..

Anyway, things that you must buy when you are in auckland.. KIWI fruit (which I did not..coz scared rot ma) and their Manuka Honey.. Apparently, you can only buy really manuka honey from New Zealand.. Buy those with UMF 20 which is very good for our body.. You can stir the honey with luke warm water and never use a metal spoon when comes to honey.. always use plactic k... for more info about Honey.. Go GOOGLE la.. U think I professor?
.
Oh.. forgot to tell you guys.. It was halloween on that day.. and the steet is filled with mostly draculas, dead men walking and other very ugly characters.. (Y dont they dress up as more cheerful characters?) It was really a good experience to see and I really wanted to take the pictures of the people.. But my friend told me not to as I might offend them.. But they dressed up for attention right?
.
So this is the only 1 I got.. Paiseh.. Happy very Belated Halloween.. hahahaha...
p/s: I will update bout my delhi trip and Abu Dhabi trip very very soon... stay tuned.. hahaha... Oh.. thank God that the drama in Mumbai finally ended!!! I curse all those really Koo-koo people for having so much time to plan and kill innocent beings.. Condolences to the family of those 160 being killed in this Mumbai drama... Very sad lo.. to see all these happening..
