Westport..

Its 3.38 am and while more than half of the men population is watching Chelsea vs Red Devils aka Man U, I'm staring blankly at my computer updating my pathetic blog.. (i'm supporting Chelsea coz Man U too many fans d..GO CHELSEA!! YOU ROCK!! Whoever that are playing la..) Sad life? I dont think so.. Just can't sleep.. its dam irritating when i know i suppose to get some rest and get my butt up and drag myself to the office in few hours time..

Anyway, I was given a rare opportunity by my ever lovely boss last friday to attend a new vessel's (big ship that carries containers from one coutry to the other)launching in west port. Finally!! After working under Boustead (mind u.. its not read as Bastard k) shipping for more than 1 year, I can step into the ever-famous WESTPORT!! I've been waiting and waiting for the chance but it never came true.. I was just anticipating for the day to come and of course will not leave my camera at home..

The 'grand' opening is in this building where all the (boring) speeches will be presented by big shots.. This is the only 'tall' building you can see in the whole west port..

Ladies and gentleman, introducing my dearest colleague aka partner in crime (at office) aka my driver of the day aka teddy bear (look at the cute cuddly size..) aka Mr Ryan ng.. standing like a dungu while taking pic.. I think he forgot to wash his face..haha.. he's so gonna kill me..

The background is not interesting.. the model is worse.. i suck at posing.. still learning the art of posing.. or should I just blame on the camera man.. lol
This is the hall where all the formal ceremony thingy is held.. I wasn't really concentrating.. *sleepy* busy scanning around and taking pic..

Some of the employees of Boustead Shipping + customers = the crowd

Victor from Penang who drove down all the way for this thing since 4am!!! salute his stamina!! He's one of those rare funny sporting person you can really talk to..
part of the view of the port from the building..
Look at those blue gigantic 'dinasours' they use to lift up containers from and onto vessels..

Just look at those imported cars 'sun-bathing' in the middle of west port.. *drools*

I'm still figuring out what are those big pipes for..
Terence helping me to Adjust the hat before we proceed to the new vessel..So gentleman.. can't wait can't wait.. *screams with absolute excitement*
One of my many colleagues that got the chance to visit this vessel.. Farah..
Kak Sue and me.. She's just really fun to be with.. I hate that yellow line on my teeth.. darn.. so annoying.. spoil the whole pic..
Posing with her sunglass.. Ms Sandra.. Vegetarian and stronger than most of us youngsters..
In the bus from the building to the VESSEL!!! All looking like firemen and women..

THE VESSEL!!!! Its just so huge that it takes my breath away..
This is my BOSS!!! We call him Jackie Cheung coz he can really sing!!! Dont be fooled by his smile.. you dont know the garang-ness in him.. But he's really nice..
Ryan with Boss.. We are the only 2 sales people under him for now.. *praying for cuter and hotter looking colleagues to join the sales team*
Wanted to take me with the vessel..but the vessel is just too huge.. I'm quite satisfied with my look here.. so dont care..
Humans just looked so small here.. Westport is very particular about safety.. so, we all have to wear a safety helmet and the XL size bright yellow jacket while we are in the port..

Shawn and me.. the other sales from the other department.. looking abit dungu also..
The couple of Malaysian version Brokeback mountain.. Ryan and shawn.. Both of them just love to join forces and bully me big time!! Love them and hate them..
Its seems like endless..
Walking up.. *heart pumping faster*

One of the machinese i spotted in one of the rooms.. i have no idea whats the purpose.. just very excited about everything and snapping away.. after all.. no films are needed what..
We have to climb like 5-6 floors to reach the control room.. tiring.. all of us are penting after we reached the top..
This is the control room where the captains and sailors 'drive' the vessel and calculate stars and bla bla bla.. finally!!!
The biggest compass I've ever seen.. darn cool..
The steeering wheel that look so powerless to control the whole vessel..

Everbody exploring..
This is the view from the top to the vessel which is carrying more than 200 containers.. I think its the size of more than 3-4 football fields..
The deck..
The back of the vessel.. more containers..
This is the name of the Vessel..

I'm still learning how to pose.. I suck.. I know..

Me with Salinda.. She's a mother of 3 already!!
My camera ran out of battery and I didn't managed to take more pics *sob sob* after this last 1.. But the whole experience was just so cool and I really enjoyed it.. Although its really really hot!!! It is something that not everyone will be able to experience and although I'm really excited about it.. I doubt I can ever live in such vessel or any ships for more than 1 month.. They have all sorts of facilities for the crews on board and its quite modernized but the space constrain and the limited access to the world on land will drive me nuts.. This is something I will treasure and thanks to my boss who's willing to bring Ryan and me up for this whole trip.. because, technically, we both are not really 'related' to this ship as its not our responsibility to sell the spaces of this ship to our customer..
P/s: I'm still so awake!! crap.. I'm getting really bad sleeping disorder already.. its already 4.18am.. and the match has not ended..

Random..

OMG.. (stands for Oh My Goodness in my case..) I've heard of our previous Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohd starting up his own blog since blogging has been such a trendy thing that almost everyone is doing.. But I haven't got the time to really look at it and don't really know what is his site's name.. When I was browsing through one of my friend's blog, I happen to see the link he has created to Tun's blog, so i click on it.. (just like what you will do later to the below add:
It is pretty inspiring I can say.. Ever since I was eligible to vote for the last election, I have been quite occupied with the game of politics.. It is quite interesting to see those people in the cabinet 'pulling each other's hair' and 'cat-fighting' just to gain 'power' and support of the fellow normal people.. I always respect Tun and although he has confessed that Mr Anwar was innocent when Tun put him in jail, I still respect him for having the guts to confess in front of the nation. He's still a human after all.. and no humans are perfect.. Only God is perfect, my dear.. He has brought this nation to a level where we are now and lead this nation to the world of technology.. I believe he has done and performed well throughout his service as our Prime Minister.. Tun Dr Mahathir, I SALUTE YOU!!! (like la he will ever bother to read my stupid blog).. Anyway, if you have the time, have a look at the blog and you will be blown away.. It will help you to improve your malay too..
Oh, I always wanna ask all my friends this but I'm too shy to ask.. so, i decided to ask here and if you wanna comment, you know how to reach me or leave your piece of mind at this blog.. well.. the question is.. *heart pumping*.. 'doop! doop! ... doop! doop!..'
I look better with specs or without specs?
ok, i know its super lame but some people commented that I looked much better without specs but i prefer wearing specs because it has the funky attitude and it helps to cover my dark circle!!! I just love wearing specs and I've collected 3 different specs for my own use already!! I just want to know what you guys think.. la..
See what i meant? Even my eyes look much bigger...

And without specs, I look like a plain normal boring Jane who really needs make-up and my eyes are so tiny.. The specs mark on my nose is so visible.. and my eyes look like they need serious beauty sleep and eye masks!! CRAP!! You be the judge la..

p/s: Remember to read Tun Dr Mahathir's Blog k!!! Its so cool.. and dont forget to read those long long long comments the people have left.. It is so interesting..

Lets pray for them..

I'm sure all of you are aware of what's going on with Myanmar and especially China which is really in need of support in any form. It really kills me to see all the pictures and news reporting about the disaster and the after shock.. I was browsing through online yesterday about the earthquake and tears were just rolling in my eyes as I see how the people trying their very best to save any survivors that are trap underneath the 'buildings' and time is really not on their side. Time is running out as it has been few days after the earthquake hit that area and even if the people survived under the 'building', they might get out of breath, or even starved to death. The death toll is rising dramatically and the cries of the people is loud and clear..

Let us all, in whatever religion you are in or believe, hold hands and pray for them.. We of course can't fly to China now to help but we can at least give them moral support in prayers.. If you can and able to, it would be better to contribute financially.. But I dont really know how.. I think some of the TV stations are collecting funds to aid the Chinese.. Before you go to sleep tonight or anytime, remember to say a short and simple prayer for them..

Jam packed weekend.. *phew*

Its always fun to spend some quality time with your family and friends during the stress-free weekends.. But i always have not enough time!!! How i wish we can have a 3 days weekend and only require to work 4 days.. haha.. *day-dreaming*.. Anyway, met up with 3 of my ex-colleagues in the famous 'haunted' Green Box Karaok in AEON Bukit Tinggi and at first we thought there were too few of us to sing 3 hours..but we have under estimated ourselves..
We were there since 3pm till 9pm.. 6 long strainght hours to sing our hearts and lungs out.. At first we plan to sing till 6pm, then the waiter came in and ask us whether we are interested to stay for their 'buffet dinner' and we just need to pay extra RM10 and extend the hours till 8pm. Of course we agree!! because at that time we were pretty high after screaming our lungs out to songs by Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas, Lee Hom, Jay Chou.. and other famous karaok songs.. then they never come and shoo us after 8pm.. we stayed until 9pm and we gave up.. we were just too tired to continue.. But it was fun.. I kindda enjoy those karaok moments already..

The whole sound system and all are pretty good.. interior wise.. no complains..

This is the Nissin Noodle my fren ordered during the happy hours (3-6pm).. the egg.. looks erm.. not appetising..

Can u spot something that is not suppose to be in this picture?

Its this box of sushi I have sneak in (which i hide it under the table) because they only serve really junky junk-food and drinks during the happy hours.. I was starving.. can't blame me for sneaking it in right..

This picture was taken on purpose with space in between my friends to attract our 'friendly friends' like what the rumours have been spreading.. but looks like we are scarrier than them.. 'they' dont even wanna take picture with us.. (Janice, Kien Ping, Kien Hong)

During the happy hours, Kien Ping was invited to play a ball-throwing game to win some prizes.. One of his 'fierce' competitor..
This is the 'champagne' he won for us..

Its just Sparkling juice.. *SWEAT*Cheers to 5 years of friendship..
The happy winner with his prize.. he can be quite a good ambassador for Darlie.. haha
They have loads of different flower tea for you to cool down your throat.. I got Peppermint tea which they claim to ease your throat after you scream too much..
Kien Ping..
Kien Hong.. forever acting cool..

The forever sweet Janice who is the youngest among us as well..
We were pretty tired already..
Happy Family..

It was tiring after 6 hours of 'angelic singing' but I still have a 'big' project to do with my sisters for our mum due to Mothers' day (on the next day which technically its only less than 3 hours left).. It was pretty last minute but the result is just priceless.. Mummy were full of tears after we hand her the 'project' we came out with..

It all started in the morning before I proced to my 'vocal training'.. we put up this at the door of our mini library to prevent mummy from going in.. Its quite stupid but we manage to get her laugh for the stupidity.. *sign is 'designed' by jess*
Our possession and tools..for making the project perfect..

The messy table.. *embarrassed*

The loves we make *disturbed look* for every page of our 'project'.. Jessica just loves to say 'We must make loads of love.. faster..make love'.. lol..
The end result.. its actually just a small booklet on what our friends think of their mums and at the end.. each of us wrote what we wanna say to our mummy and we pasted our picture on it.. Mummy came back to our room red-eyed and thank us for our effort.. It looks and sounds easy.. but it really took us quite some time to complete it due to some very not co-operative friends who are shy to share what they wanna tell to their mums and also our really last minute preparation.. but IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!!

p/s: Thank you for those that took their time and effort to tell us and write the thoughts down so that we can include in the booklet.. Dont worry, we will not leak it out to your mothers.. for my friends, thanks to Sau Kin, Su Lin, Hermann, Ryan and also Shawn (who is the most not co-operative).. You guys rock the socks!!!

Mixed up..

Its been awhile since I last updated my blog.. Many things happened and many lessons i've learned. I'm sure everyone of us had heard of 'Life is never easy' in any part of our life as a human.. Choices are hard to make and right decisions are even harder to make.. Happiness is always easy to share with people around you but sadness is easier to consume alone in the dark corner of your house.. There are few things that are running in my head right now.. and here goes:

*the below statements are purely based on Pamela's opinions and not biased to any party nor person (or even race..even though she's pure chinese) in this world. Should you take these seriously and wanna sue me, you are really wasting your time, money and effort.. Go do some charity.. better for your soul..

- Was watching news on TV with my parents while having our dinner (mum's sambal fried bihun and peanut soup..Heavenly..) and its seems that I have missed out alot on our interesting Parliament's news.. Its so interesting that I just have to share it here..

I dont understand why certain people that (so called) deserve the seat in the parliament have such bad communication skills and observation talent after so many incidents (like the 'Keris' case and 'Bocor' case). I think kids in Primary school will know how to talk better than them!! How on earth is a man on a wheel chair going to stand up to swear in front of the parliament when he's actually on a wheel chair? People depend on wheelchairs for a reason you know.. they just purely can't walk!!! Use your brain to think or (if u can't find your brain) use your eyes to see.. You think Uncle Karpal love to depend on a wheelchair because he doesn't need to walk and he can wheel around in the park for fun? Respect la sikit!!!

- There's this one statement that Uncle Karpal made towards the Sultan of Perak that caused a whirlwind in the politic arena. Just tonight itself in the news, there's already 3 police reports filed against Uncle Karpal. Its sad that those people that worked for Malaysia in the same 'office' can't get along due to the game of power and authority. I know they are of different parties but do you have to scratch each other's back like that to create comedy for the others in the world to see and laugh at? What happen to freedom of speech? What Uncle Karpal said is not really wrong in law actually.. Those of the different party as Uncle Karpal just can't wait to get him down.. Come on man.. give him a break!! The more they do these kind of small petty things towards him, the more supporters Uncle Karpal is going to get..

- Poor Raja Petra (famed politic blogger that IVAN KOK is crazy about) was put into jail because he stated (in his blog) that the murderer(S) of Altantuya's (pardon me if I got the name wrong) case should go to hell.. Hello.. that's his blog.. he has the right to put anything he wants!! Plus.. in most religions, murderers go to hell what.. unless they repented or something.. but its understood.. I have no idea who on earth in our small land can put someone into jail just like that.. might be the most suspected person that is involved la.. there's this one saying in BM that i really like, 'Siapa Makan Cili, Dia rasa pedas' (translation: Whoever that eats chili, he/she feels spicy) Seriously, I just feel that, all these politically powerful people should pay more attention on other serious matters rather than all these ant small things..

Ok.. politics aside..

- Everything is rising.. Water level of the sea.. Ego and pride of humans.. Price.. expecially.. except our salary.. isn't that sad..

- Almost all my friends told me that Iron Man is 'DAMM GOOD'.. I haven't watch!! Don't tell me the story.. (though the story is pretty predictable like any other superhero movies)I will watch soon.. anyone wants to date me? *Puppy Eyes*

- Love is so powerfull and unmeasurable.. I just hate it when things involved love or anything related to it..

Today is a boring day.. but tomorrow will be much better..

P/s: Things that look really bad right now might not be that bad in the future.. Be patient and never give up..
